🧾 Paneer Pakora Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 250 grams paneer (medium size cubes or slices)
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp ajwain
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (as required)

Frying:

  • Oil (for deep frying)

Step 1: Prepare the Paneer
   Cut the paneer into medium-sized cubes or triangular slices. If the paneer is hard, soak it in lukewarm water for 10 minutes; this will soften it.

Step 2: Prepare the Gram Flour Batter
    In a bowl, mix gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, carom seeds (ajwain), and salt. Now, add water gradually to make a smooth and thick batter. The batter shouldn't be too thin, so that the paneer is coated well.

Step 3: Heat the Oil
   Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. If the oil is too hot, the pakoras will burn on the outside and remain raw on the inside.

Step 4: Fry the Pakoras
   Dip the paneer pieces in the gram flour batter and carefully drop them into the hot oil. Deep fry the pakoras over medium heat until they turn golden brown. Flip them occasionally.

Step 5: Remove Excess Oil
    After frying, remove the pakoras onto a kitchen tissue to absorb the excess oil.
